Consisting of original and typescript copies of letters between Richard Jaques and L. A. “Tutes” Syme as well as newspaper copies and illustrations, the Richard Jaques Letters, 1863-1864, document the relationship between the young Confederate artilleryman and his sweetheart during the Siege of Charleston.
